A Caring Dundee 2- Final Stages of Draft of local Carers Strategy

Dundee Carers Partnership has worked closely with unpaid Carers across the city to co-create and develop “A Caring Dundee 2”- (2021-2024). The strategy sets out a framework for ensuring Dundee is a City where Carers are listened to, heard, valued and supported so that they are well and are able to have a life of their own.

The Carers Partnership are in the final stages of developing this strategy. The draft Carer Strategy sets out the draft vision and strategic outcomes that Dundee Carers Partnership, the Health and Social Care Partnership, Dundee City Council, the Third Sector and Independent Sector will deliver over the next 3 years with and for Carers.

A Strategy Delivery Plan will be developed after ‘A Caring Dundee 2’ has been refined through these Carer Focus Groups and a Stakeholder consultation.

The information in the draft strategy and the plans described reflect the ongoing and extensive involvement of Carers and stakeholders over the last few years in Dundee. At this stage the Carers Partnership want to hear if you agree with number of key parts in strategy, in particular the revised vision and the strategic outcomes for the Carers of Dundee.

Practitioners; Agencies and Support Services can complete a Response Form after reading the strategy. Carers who want to be part of a focus group can get in touch to arrange this.

The deadline for responses has been extended to 27th August 2021.
