Dundee Health and Social Care Partnership are seeking your views about Dundee Smart Health and Care Strategic Plan - A Plan for Supporting People to Manage their Own Health and Live Independently Through Technology 2017 - 2020. This Strategic Plan has been developed to consider how technology can support the Health and Social Care Partnership to achieve its vision that citizens of Dundee have access to the information and support that they need to live a fulfilled life. You can find the full plan here and a summary of the plan here
Almost 6,000 people in Dundee already use technology to help them live safely in their own homes, and the number is growing. The Internet of Things means people at risk can be monitored 24 hours a day, wherever they are. Dundee Health and Social Care Partnership are asking you to think about how technology can be used to enhance care and healthcare in the city. There are three main themes:
- People should be able to find reliable information about health and wellbeing on the internet
- Technology should be available to help everyone live fulfilling lives
- The Partnership workforce should be comfortable with technology and confident that services fit the needs of individuals
We want to hear your views to help us ensure our Plan is fit for purpose as it moves forward. What matters to you is important to us and this is your opportunity to influence the way technology is used and developed to enable citizens of Dundee to achieve their outcomes. We will use different ways to engage to make sure everyone is involved and we will let people know what difference their involvement has made. This is an opportunity for you to comment and share your thoughts on our draft Strategic Plan. We want to hear as many views as possible and would encourage you to provide us with your thoughts.
